The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury developed a Downtown Revitalization Strategy in 2011. Several years of collaborative research and creative thinking involving the Town Council, staff, consultants, and residents, culminated in the town-initiated Official Plan Amendment No.27 referred to as the “Downtown Revitalization Strategy Implementation” in 2016. The Amendment created two new areas in Bradford: the “Eastern Gateway” and the “Western Gateway”.
The Cachet Bradford community is located within the Eastern Gateway, closest in proximity to the Bradford GO Station. The Eastern Gateway will continue to be developed over time, as a mixed-use intersection of transit-oriented developments consisting of residential dwellings, commercial projects, as well as active business and retail street fronts, that will enliven the Dissette streetscape and act as an entry into the older parts of Downtown Bradford on Holland Street.
